A wonderful room with oak-panelled walls and full of character, the Library is perfect for meetings for up to 18 guests, dinners and lunches for up to 20 people, or receptions for up to 40 people. The Library has natural daylight and air-conditioning and is ideally situated just off the Lobby area.
I am passionately involved in every aspect of our business, from guest feedback to overseeing design and working closely with our Executive Chefs to create the most imaginative menus. I was so proud to be voted Hotelier of the World by HOTELS magazine and to be honoured with a Catey Lifetime Achievement Award. I was also inducted into the British Travel & Hospitality Hall of Fame in 2019 - this is all testament to our wonderful teams and their extraordinary work each and every day.
I am proud to serve as Vice President of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection. I oversee all facets of the business with a special focus on the brand image, working closely with the Red Carnation commercial team across sales, marketing, and PR. My passion for people has led to my substantial involvement with the company pillars of Sustainability and DEI, ensuring best practices are embraced to create a lighter carbon footprint and that each member of the RCH family can be who they truly are.
I am honoured to be Director of Design and Projects at Red Carnation Hotels, as well as sister brand Uniworld, the luxury river cruise line. Alongside my mother, I conceptualise, design and restore our portfolio of beautiful hotels and ships. My most recent project was the creation of Xigera, where we handcrafted every aspect, from the evocative interiors to one-of-a-kind encounters. It was been truly inspiring to be a part of the team bringing this spectacular, pioneering safari lodge to life.
I joined The Red Carnation Hotel Collection in 1998 as General Manager of The Rubens at the Palace and in 2000 was promoted to Managing Director, overseeing the rapid expansion of Red Carnation's collection of award-winning luxury boutique hotels. I was delighted to be named Hotelier of the Year at the world-renowned Hotel Catey Annual Industry Awards, and I feel privileged to work alongside such a talented Executive Team and group of General Managers, who truly are the best in the business.
I joined Red Carnation Hotels in 2006, after a lifetime of exceptional experiences in the hospitality industry, including positions as the General Manager of The Ritz and The Stafford. I believe that the difference between a good hotel and a great hotel is the people who work there, and Red Carnation really does exemplify this. Each of our hotels is special and unique, with a consistently genuine welcome.
My first role with Red Carnation was as Training and Development Manager. I then became Director of Human Resources and Training and I am now delighted to be Vice President for People & Culture. I believe that the best piece of feedback is when a guest remarks on the fantastic service they received, as this is ultimately how the People & Culture team is judged - on recruitment through to training.
I joined the Executive team at Red Carnation Hotels in July 2011, and I am so proud to lead the Sales, Marketing, PR, Revenue Management, Reservations and Distribution teams for the Collection. I am passionate about telling an authentic brand story, building effective and collaborative teams, and championing our guests, to ensure that the brand proposition reflects the customer experience in every way possible.
I joined Red Carnation Hotels in 1996 and I am responsible for leading the Design team in all aspects of hotel renovations, decorative initiatives and remodelling new acquisitions, working closely with Mrs Tollman and Toni Tollman to achieve the high standards and stylish visual impact for which Red Carnation is renowned. I have a deep love of antiques, arts and fabrics, and I personally manage every aspect of the design, infusing thoughtful signature touches that make our collection unique.
I am very much involved with the day-to-day business of Red Carnation as well as helping to formulate strategy and decisions for the Collection. I particularly enjoy this broad spectrum of responsibilities and I am delighted to not only work with a talented team of dedicated finance people, but also with the operators of the hotels.
