The crimson-red candles that are showcased in each of our hotels are the creation of Toni Tollman, Executive Vice President of Red Carnation Hotels and the daughter of our Founder and President Beatrice Tollman.

Toni’s inspiration came from fashion icon Diana Vreeland, who said that in each room there should always be a touch of red. 'As a designer, that’s something that I live by,' says Toni, 'Whether that’s a piece of furniture or a scented candle in an otherwise white room.'

The lingering scent of an unforgettable stay

For our family, these candles showcase the power of passion and its effect on each of the five senses.' They showcase the Red Carnation signature scent, with lingering base notes that are inspired by Toni’s favourite flower, the elegant tuberose.
