A FAMILY STORY

FOUR GENERATIONS OF HOSPITALITY

Red Carnation Hotels began with Bea and Stanley Tollman and remains proudly family-run today.

That family spirit has shaped the collection for more than a century. It can be found in the recipes passed down through generations, the personal stories woven into our hotels and, above all, in the warmth with which our guests and colleagues are welcomed.

Many members of our teams have grown with Red Carnation over decades, becoming part of the story themselves. Today, the same values continue to guide us: looking after people, never compromising on quality and creating places where memories can be made and shared.

CHARACTERFUL STAYS

NO TWO OF OUR HOTELS ARE THE SAME

A centuries-old castle on the shores of Lough Corrib. A London townhouse overlooking Kensington Palace. A wilderness retreat among the Cederberg Mountains. A grand address on Edinburgh's Princes Street.

Every hotel has been shaped by its architecture, surroundings, heritage and people, with individually designed rooms and spaces that celebrate character rather than conformity.

Even within the same hotel, a return visit can reveal somewhere completely different to stay.

CURATED DISCOVERIES

GO BEYOND THE HOTEL

The places we call home are an essential part of every Red Carnation stay.

Through longstanding relationships with local artisans, cultural institutions, conservationists, producers and communities, we create experiences that offer a deeper connection to each destination.

Walk through an Irish estate alongside wolfhounds, step behind the scenes of a London landmark, encounter ancient rock art in the Cederberg or meet the people helping protect the landscapes surrounding our hotels.

These are experiences shaped by the character of each place and made possible by the people who know it best.

GENEROSITY OF SPIRIT

THOUGHTFUL BY NATURE

For us, generous hospitality is about more than service.

It is noticing the small things. Remembering what matters to you. Offering something unexpected simply because we know it will make your stay better.

Our teams are trusted to act on instinct, creating thoughtful gestures and personal touches that go beyond expectation. It might be a favourite drink waiting for you, a surprise for a special occasion or one of the distinctive traditions found across our hotels.

Because the moments guests remember most are often the ones they never knew to request.
