At Red Carnation Hotels, we are proud to partner with the National Trust to care for three of Britain’s most distinguished Historic House Hotels: Hartwell House in Buckinghamshire, Bodysgallen Hall in North Wales, and Middlethorpe Hall in York. Each of these remarkable properties was once a private home to notable figures in British history and has been meticulously restored to preserve its original character, architectural integrity, and sense of place. Today, they offer guests the warmth of traditional hospitality alongside modern comforts, all within authentically historic surroundings.

In 2008, these exceptional houses were generously donated to the National Trust, safeguarding their future and ensuring protection for generations to come. We continue to manage and maintain the hotels to the same award winning standards that first brought them international recognition, with all profits returned to the National Trust to support its vital conservation work.
